Erika Bloom graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hunter College with a B.A. in Dance and also studied in the professional programs at both the Alvin Ailey School and the Merce Cunningham Studio. She has performed in the works of Stephen Koplowitz, Sondra Loring, Eliza Miller, Beppie Blankert, and Bridgman/Packer, among others. Erika has been a member of ACD since 2000.

Elyssa Byrnes graduated with honors from Hofstra University with a B.A. in dance. She was a scholarship student at the Merce Cunningham School. She has performed in works by Jeffery Bauer, Tysan Dance, Elka Rindfleisch, Jennifer Morley’s Figments Dance Ensemble and Richard Decker. She joined ACD in 2002.
Victoria Lundell was a member of the Mark Morris Dance Group from 1994-97 and the Parsons Dance Company from 1990-93. In New York City she works with independent choreographers Wendy Osserman, Gail Gilbert, Ruth Davidson Hahn, Aszure Barton, and Equus Projects. Vicky received her BFA in Dance from the University of Michigan in 1989.

Renée Smith is from the Philadelphia area. She graduated Marymount Manhattan College cum laude in dance and business. She has attended the Merce Cunningham School on scholarship, the Joffrey School, Ballet Academy East and Dancespace. Renée has performed with MMC Dance Co., Brandywine Balelt Co., AiJun Chang, Newsteps at Mulberry Street Theater, Manhattan Dance Theater, Strong Current Co., Saeko Ichinohe, and Mary Seidman and Dancers. Most recently she has performed in NY and throughout Cyprus with Dance Anonymous.
Kate Jewett grew up in Cincinnati, OH. and attended North Carolina School of the Arts. In 2002, Kate was a Doris Duke/Surdna Scholarship Foundation recipient. She has been working with the Merce Cunningham Understudy Group since March of 2003. Kate has worked with various other choreographers such as Ellen Cornfield, June Finch, and Louise Burns, as well as experimenting with her own movement. She is happy to be working with Anita.
Blanca Cubillos-Román is a native of Bogotá, Colombia and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Ohio State University where she got a BFA in dance. Blanca was a scholarship student and earned a Certificate of Completion of the International Student Program at the Cunningham Dance Studios. She has performed the works of Charles Weidman and Isadora Duncan. In New York City she dances with Young Soon Kim Dance Company, Regina Nejman and Dancers, Luis Gabirel Zaragoza, and Filos Tanz Company. Blanca joined Anita Cheng Dance in 2004.
Cho Ying Tsai, a native of Taiwan, experienced a wide range of dance practices from traditional Chinese folk dancing to classical ballet as a young girl in local dance studio. She was trained professionally at National Institute of the Arts in Taipei, Taiwan and graduated with a BFA degree. Invited as a scholarship student, Cho Ying received her MFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She is the recipient of the Bates Dance Festival Merit Scholarship 2002 and merit scholarships ‘04-’05 at Merce Cunningham Studio. Her performance credits include works by Twyla Tharp, Mark Morris, and as well as by several Taiwanese leading choreographers.
